Measurement Chart:

  • 1 Serving = 3/4 cup cooked rice
  • 2-3 Servings: Rice (dry) 1/2 cup, Water or broth 3/4 cup, Butter, oil, or margarine 1 1/2 tsp.
  • 4-6 Servings: Rice (dry) 1 cup, Water or broth 1 1/2 cups, Butter, oil, or margarine 1 Tbs.
  • 8-10 Servings: Rice (dry) 2 cups, Water or broth 3 cups, Butter, oil, or margarine 2 Tbs.


Eco-Farmed White Arborio:

  • Gluten Free

  • First Arborio rice grown in the USA.

Prized for its use in traditional risotto and paella recipes as its finer grain texture produces a creamy, yet "al dente" dish.

Grown using a combination of eco-positive farming methods to improve soil, water and air such as:

  • Returning rice straw to the soil after harvest instead of burning it.
  • Practicing crop rotation, utilizing nitrogen-fixing crops for soil enrichment.
  • Providing habitat for a variety of animals like waterfowl who rest in flooded fields during the winter.
  • Practicing water-conserving irrigation.

Directions:

Stove-top Cooking Instructions: Combine rice, water, and butter (optional) in a pot with a tight-fitting lid. Bring to a boil. Stir once. Cover with lid. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 20 minutes. Remove from heat, let stand in covered pot for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork, salt to taste (optional).

Tip: To prepare in rice cooker, use same water-rice ratio.

Directions:

Combine 1 cup rice, 1 3/4 cup water, and 1 tbsp butter (optional) in a pot and bring to a boil. Cover with a tight-fitting lid, reduce heat to low-simmer for 40 min. Remove from heat (with lid on!) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork.

*If rice is crunchy at the end of cooking time, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer.

Tip: To prepare in rice cooker, use same water-rice ratio.

White Long Grain:

  • Low in fat and a good source of iron.
  • Remains light and fluffy in texture.
  • Sourced in America and grown in the ideal climate of the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast.
